What should I do about my girlfriend who wets the bed?

James asked:


My girlfriend is 20, she has Cystic Fibrosis and recently had a double lung transplant and is very frail and has lost a lot of weight. Since she’s been out of the hospital whenever we sleep together when we wake up she’s all wet and so are the sheets. I love her so much but what should I do about this? I want to be there to comfort her but what should we do about her problem?

    sorry but you’ll have to either layer the sheets with like plastic or get her some adult diapers hopefully this isn’t permanent

    She should ask a doctor. Only help she can get. And maybe going to the toilet before bed might help but I’m no expert.

    Ask the doctor about it to see if he can help. I have CF too and I don’t need a lung transplant so thats really weird but it could be that I’m only 13.

    I was laughing when i read the question
    until i read the details then i got kindoff sad

    I think she wets the bed because of the sickness she had
    i think the best way to help her is to take her to go see a doctor

    Hopefully this is a temporary problem and when she recovers more from her surgery she may gain control again. In the meantime, there is no shame in wearing adult diaper protection at night. It would certainly be less difficult and less embarrassing than cleaning up every morning.
