Is it safe to travel overseas after a lung transplant?

Leah asked:

I had a double lung transplant a year ago when I was 18 (i have Cystic Fibrosis) and haven’t been anywhere since I had the transplant. My friend asked me if I wanted to go to Egypt and Syria with her this summer. Has anyone had any experience traveling to different countries after a lung transplant? would it be safe?

  1. Hemorrhoid treatment

Ask the doctor that performed the transplant. They would be in the best position to advise you.

  2. Cystic Fibrosis

No, but it is best to ask a doctor.

  3. Hemorrhoid Cure

No, I haven’t but I suggest you consult your doctor before you take the advice of anyone on here. Although, I think it would be cool if you went there to travel, and it has been a year. I really hope you are able to go and have the best time. Best wishes.

  4. Hemorrhoid treatment

Well in my past experience as i have had both of my lungs replaced in Australia (as i also have Cystic Fibrosis) i have traveled far and wide as i have been to Parramatta and also Aurburn.

Id advise you to not walk but ride; a bike a snow mobile, someones back, etc As i run out of breathe very quickly.

Another thing to look into would be your lung size & whom it was transplanted from. As i discovered my right lung was from a 86 year old pack a day smoker from Russia whom was killed in a hit and run incident, due to his age and quality of the lung it only set me back $5,000 US. The left lung has come from a 9 year old cross dressing Filipino child whom has sold it to feed his family whom surprisingly survived the operation to dismember his left lung to send it to me via Express post labeled a $50 present, this lung set me back $40 AUS and a pig (a fairly big pig may i add).
Due to the two different lung sizes i find it very hard to do simple things like have sex, as my partner is not happy with my stamina in the bedroom i have stated to her a many of times its a race and i’m quicker.

As a conclusion to this answer i think you should discuss in detail what will make *** longer, As A.M.I has not helped me one bit my condition still persist.
