make your significant other rub it

Try a nice hot shower or bath whichever you prefer. That always helps when my lower back is killing me, pregnant or not.

  3. Lose The Back Pain System

Slow, steady pressure the the lower back and thighs always seemed to help my wife. Also, if you haven’t tried this, a heating pad always seems to be useful in addition to the pressure.

Put your feet up and relax as well as you can, but if nothing helps, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to ask your doctor for tips or maybe even, if the pain is unbearable, some sort of safe medication to help ease you through this tough time. Good luck and congratulations on the baby!

I had this and it was terrible. I couldn’t hardly move especially when in bed. First of all, do not lift anything! Do not bend either. If you need to get something from a low draw, or you need to carry laundry or something, get someone else to do it or leave it til someone is there to do it. Sit with cushions behind your back. Keep legs together when getting in and out of the car. Basically take things very easy so you do not strain yourself further. I tried physio, a brace, swimming, but none of these things worked. The pain has eased now and I swear its because I have been very careful not to strain my back. Good luck, I know how hard this is, but it will go.

Try seeing a massage therapist or a chiropractor. I know seeing the MT helped me SO much during all three of my PG’s.

Also, try doing some pelvic rocking. It helps to move baby into a better position and make you more comfortable.
