I am allergic to cats. In particular I am allergic to siamese cats, that have been known to close off my airway to breath. My daughter has an exotic cat, a playful cat, that she keeps indoors. At present she has been identified with ****** cancer and had treatments including chemo, radiation and clinical trials. She now has nodules on her lungs and inflamed lymph nodes in her lungs shown by CatScan and PetScan. I have heard of indoor cats being linked to either multiple sclerosis or cystic fibrosis, I think. I think this may be related to her cat. Her mom does not apparently have this type of allergy. My daughter had to have her tonsils out when she was little because she could not breathe. I know that some of her genes come from me. How can I get her to take this seriously and not concentrate on dying from something that may be caused by allergies to her cat that she is not sensitive enough to?

I have been to 2 doctors, complaining of the following symptoms: nausea, lack of appetite, extreme weight loss (I am 75 pounds and I’m 5′3″), uncomfortable feeling in the abdomen, feeling full even if I have a light meal, constipation, diarrea, bloating, gas, sometimes my abdomen seems larger when I have menstrual and non-menstrual cramps, irregular periods, motion sickness. As for my age, I am 32, no kids. I’ve had a non-cancerous lump removed from my ****** a year ago, and ****** and ovarian cancer runs in my family.

As for the doctors, after an encoscopy, one told me that I have a steer stomach (lying on its side instead of the normal upright position), which I don’t believe. Another wants me to see a psychologist so she can rule out depression.

I am not making these symptoms up and I **** having to live like this. Any suggestions?
The weight loss was over a span of 5+ years, as I’ve been gradually feeling sick, but only went to the doctor last year when I was unable to take the nausea and discomfort and wanted to find a diagnosis, rather than living this horrible way.

In all brutal honesty, I only wish I had an eating disorder because I don’t think I would feel all the symptoms that I described if I were. None of my doctors seem overly concerned and write me off as being depressed and think it’s a psychological thing, rather than physical. I wish they could spend a day in my shoes because they’d know that this is not all in my head and that I *WANT* to eat and maintain a healthy weight (goal is 95-100 as I was in the past), but can’t because of the nausea, and all the symptoms I described above.
